Ski Dubai is packed with experiences ranging from adrenaline-pumping rides to relaxed dining in sub-zero temperatures. Here are the main highlights:
1. The Slopes (Skiing & Snowboarding)
5 Different Runs: The resort features five runs of varying difficulty, height, and gradient. This includes a 400-meter-long run with a 60-meter drop.
World’s First Indoor Black Run: For advanced skiers, this steep run offers a genuine challenge indoors.
Freestyle Zone: A dedicated area with jumps and rails for snowboarders and freestyle skiers to practice tricks.
Chairlift: The only indoor chairlift in the region, offering a bird’s-eye view of the entire park as you ascend to the top of the slopes.
2. Snow Park Attractions (Non-Skiers)
Mountain Thriller: A high-speed bobsled ride that launches you down a 150m long slide, reaching speeds of up to 45km/h.
Snow Bullet (Zipline): The world’s first indoor sub-zero zipline. You soar 16 meters above the ground, racing against a friend on a dual track over the skiers below.
Zorb Ball (Giant Ball): You step inside a giant transparent bubble and roll down a snowy slope (one of the most popular activities).
Ice Cave: A beautifully designed walkthrough area with ice sculptures and tranquil lighting, great for photos.
Tubing & Bobsled Runs: Fast-paced slides where you sit in an inflatable tube or plastic sled and race to the bottom.
3. The Penguin Encounter
March of the Penguins: Several times a day, a colony of Gentoo and King Penguins march through the park. This is free to watch for everyone in the Snow Park.
Encounters: You can book specific packages to meet, touch, and take photos with the penguins, or even swim with them (requires a separate premium ticket).
4. Unique Dining Experiences
Avalanche Café: Located mid-slope (accessible by hiking up or skiing), this is a famous spot to stop for their signature hot chocolate while watching skiers zoom past.
North 28: Located just outside the entrance (but with a view of the snow), serving hearty meals like burgers and soups.
Dinner with Penguins: A special package where you can have a private dinner while the penguins waddle around your enclosure.
