The Dubai Frame is an iconic architectural landmark in Dubai that offers visitors a unique journey through the city’s past, present, and future.
The Dubai Frame is a massive, record-breaking structure designed to resemble a picture frame. Standing 150 meters tall and 93 meters wide, it is strategically located in Zabeel Park to frame views of the city’s old districts to the north and its modern skyscrapers to the south.
Old Dubai Gallery (The Past): Located on the ground floor, this area uses interactive displays, immersive multimedia shows, and archived photos to take you on a journey through Dubai’s history, from its humble beginnings as a fishing village with Bedouin culture and pearl-diving traditions.
Sky Deck (The Present): You take a high-speed elevator to the top of the Frame. The Sky Deck is the observation bridge offering spectacular 360-degree panoramic views. You can clearly see the contrast between the historical parts of Deira and the modern skyline featuring landmarks like the Burj Khalifa.
Glass Walkway (The Thrill): A key feature of the Sky Deck. The central 93-meter-long bridge has sections of transparent glass flooring. When you step on them, they turn clear, offering a thrilling view of the 150-meter drop beneath your feet.
Virtual Metropolis (The Future): As you exit, you pass through a futuristic ‘Vortex Tunnel’ which uses special audio and visual effects. This leads to the Future Dubai Gallery, an immersive experience using VR and screens to showcase what the city is projected to look like in 50 years.
